Yesterday Car Design News reported that Thomas Ingenlath has been appointed Vice President of Design for Volvo, stating that he will report to Peter Horbury, who is now Senior Vice President Design, Geely Group. The ‘Giugiaro – 45 years of Italian Design' exhibition will be held at the Sao Paolo Museu da Casa Brasileira. The show, held from 7 February until 31 March, highlights the significance of Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro's work for the Italian design identity. The Museu da Casa Brasileira, which gives the most important design award in Brazil, will use five rooms to display exhibits ranging from car designs and concepts – the Aztec and Structura – to production models including the Volkswagen Golf Mk 1.
Guangzhou Auto Corp has released these images of the production Trumpchi GS5 SUV. Based on the Alfa Romeo 166 platform, and derived from the 2009 concept X-power, the production SUV was be unveiled at this year's Guangzhou motor show. The Trumpchi SUV mixes the aesthetics of the two-year old X-power and the new Trumpchi sedan.
